The incident log on this website classifies incidents into four types:

Monitoring:

The station has observed an incident, without needing to contact HM Coastguard.

Reporting:

The station has observed an incident, and reported it to HM Coastguard.

Coordination:

The station has assisted HM Coastguard with their handling of an incident.

Assistance:

Watchkeepers have assisted members of the public on the coastal path.
