Trident Pinnacle
The pinnacle has lotus top design another hindu sign.
This pinnacle has been blindly assumed by many to be an islamic crescent and star or a lightning conductor installed by the British.
The lotus top of the dome, is an unmistakable Hindu sign.
When viewed from the garden level it looks like a trident - a Shiva symbol
A full scale figure of this pinnacle is inlaid in the eastern courtyard.
