Every year the biggest travelling fair in Europe descends on the Town Moor. Known for years as "The Hoppings", there are thrills and spills for all, as well as sticky toffee and chips!

This year we were not deluged by rain, like in 1997 when the whole thing got bogged down in a sea of mud.

Enjoy the atmosphere and ride the big wheel. I took several deep breaths and some Zen meditation (works like vallium) before going up up up... Vertigo still rules OK, and I was shivering with fear at the top, but braved it all for the sake of the snaps. Enjoy!
