Care
of Mouthguards
- The
mouth guard that we have made for you is a custom moulded appliance that
will fit only your mouth.
- The
guard should be gently cleaned after use with a toothbrush and a small amount
of toothpaste, rinsed in clean water and left in a safe place to dry before
storing in its protective container.
- DO
NOT PUT THE MOUTHGUARD IN HOT WATER AS THIS WILL RUIN ITS SHAPE AND IT CAN
NOT BE REPAIRED.
- We
recommend that your dentist checks the mouthguard once a year e.g. before
the sports season begins.
- Mouth guards made for young patients may need to be remade after a relatively short period due to the continuing development of the jaws/dentition.
