Organised by the Vauxhall Bedford Opel Association and supported by Vauxhall Motors, Ltd., this event, often referred to as the 'Billing All-Vauxhall Rally', has grown during it's sixteen year history to become the largest gathering of Vauxhall, Bedford and Opel vehicles in Europe.
Held over a weekend during July at Billing Aquadrome, Northampton, England, the event attracts more than 1,000 vehicles from all over Europe, covering over 80 years of manufacturing history.
At the 1998 event, 22 V.B.O.A. clubs were present, displaying vehicles ranging from Vintage Bedford commercials, through to the latest Vauxhall performance models, with examples of just about everything in between.
I first attended the event in 1997; I missed the '96 event as I was helping a friend to move a recently acquired Vauxhall Viva from Birmingham to Manchester (typical!). I am now determined never to miss this event, surely the highlight of the events calendar for any enthusiast of these marques.
