I spotted this car advertised in the The Vauxhall VX4/90 Drivers Club magazine, for fifty pounds. The address was quite local, so I thought it would be worth a look. It seemed to be well worth the asking price, so I bought it.
The car has been out of use for some time, and the clutch has seized solid. However, with a cupful of petrol poured down the carburettor, the engine fired up first time and sounded quite healthy. The bodywork is also moderately solid; though a couple of the jacking points have corroded badly, and there are some patch repairs to the inner wings. New outer sills have been fitted at some time, and the main chassis rails are solid, though the inner sills require some attention at the front ends. All four doors are in good order, though slight corrosion has begun at the lower edges. The interior is mostly in good condition, it just requires a good clean, but the carpet will need replacement as the front footwells have rotted.
