The 'Walkington World' is the official magazine of the Walkington Society and has been published since Roderic Walkington produced the first edition in December 1988, a date which even preceded the first Walkington 'get together' in May 1989.
In all twenty-three editions have now been published and it can be said that Roderic must take the credit for the bulk of the work involved over the last fifteen years.
The magazine is not published on a regular basis but rather on an 'as appropriate' basis depending on available material and forthcoming events.
All manner of articles are accepted for publication, the only proviso being that the material should in some way, however remotely, be connected with the Walkington family and of course be interesting. Any contributions will be gratefully considered, either from inside or outside the society.
It is now considered that Roderic has 'done his stint' as editor and it is hoped that another Walkington will be taking over shortly. Pending confirmation of this, all material for publication should be sent to one of the two contacts below:-
