Linux things

I run Linux (currently Fedora Core 3) on my machine at home. This is a small page for bits and pieces that people might be interested in.

• Some notes on the post-installation setup I did on my Fedora Core 3 box (you can still read the FC2 notes)
• Some notes on how sendmail works as a Mail Transer Agent on a stand-alone, dialup machine

I have also written a couple of small programs:

• A Tcl/Tk script that shows numbers and words (for teaching children).
• A Tcl/Tk script that poses simple sums (for teaching children). If you want to change the difficulties of the levels, you'll need to edit the parameters at the top of the script.
• A Tcl script that generates random words (for roleplaying games). See the documentation and the name generation page for more details.

These programs are released under the GNU Public Licence (GPL), meaning that it is free and open-source software.
