Welcome to my my role-playing pages. The majority of my roleplaying is spent in and around Glorantha and similarly, the majority of the material in these pages relates to that.

All of my role-playing activity is done at the Milton Keynes Roleplaying Games Club. We meet on Tuesday evenings and are always looking for new players and/or GMs.

General Glorantha

Here are some general thoughts and essays on Glorantha, some rules extensions for RuneQuest, and thoughts on how to run Heroquests.

Some of my writings have been published by the Unspoken Word, a Gloranthan fanzine and independent publishing house. Rush's Bachelors are a hero band that didn't make it into the Thieves' Arm issue. On my page, you can find some extra snippets for the Furthest Shadow War, the climax scenario in the Thieves' Arm.

You might also be interested in the pictures I took at C2K, a Gloranthan-biased convention in 2000, some pictures from the First Gloranthan Grouse in 2003, and some pictures of the 'Birth of the Goddess' freeform at the Continuum 2004 convention.

Prax and the Yellowtail Clan

For a while I was involved with a campaign that was set around the Yellowtail Clan, a Praxian Sable clan that was returning to Prax after leaving for the Wastes after Moonbroth. Because of that, I've developed a reasonable amount of material concerned with Prax and Praxians, some of which is here.

Sartar and the Cinsina Tribe

I was co-narrator for a HeroQuest game based in the Tertorae clan in the Cinsina Tribe. Some background on the Tertorae is available.

HeroQuest Resources

I've written up some summary information which I found useful as a HeroQuest narrator, some house rules, and some tips for other narrators.

A synopsis of the HeroQuest rules can be found on the support page of the official Glorantha website.

Name Generation

I've done some investigating into the various names used by different cultures in and around Prax. The intention was that players should have an idea of a character's culture from his or her name.

More information is available on the Name Generation page, including a two programs (one Windows binary, one platform-independent Tcl script) for generating names, and sample names for Lunars, Pavisites, Praxians, and most other inhabitants of the Zola Fel valley!

Gloranthan Everway

I've always been interested in diceless roleplaying, and Everway seems like a good introduction to it. However, Glorantha is not a standard stock-fantasy world, so Everway needs to be adjusted slightly to fit.

The Gloranthan Everway page discusses how Everway could be changed for Gloranthan gaming. But it needs a lot of adjusting to fit properly. My first attempt is for a Praxian game. I've written a description of the elements of Prax and a Praxian fortune deck.

Blue Planet

I've recently picked up Blue Planet, a fascinating near-future hard-sf game with a premise of ecological awareness and biotechnology. For an introduction to the world, you can read the first chapter of the Player's Guide online (it's a 1.6Mb PDF). My Blue Planet page contains some some reference material, a description of what multiglands can do for you, a writeup of the Longshore Crew campaign, and some house rules, among other things.
