Above is a simulation of the Windows in detail section of the CD-ROM designed and created by Mike Brooks of the multimedia department of Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education.

The Life, Death and Art CD-ROM contains images of all 28 stained glass windows at various resolutions. This allows the user to zoom into any area and view the remarkable detail of the Fairford windows - detail not visible standing in the aisles of the church. The images shown here are only a fraction of the size and quality of those contained on the CD-ROM, some of which would take hours to download over the internet with a conventional modem.
